The COURTYARD VILLAS are introspective homes designed around a central light well allowing the homeowners to celebrate their individuality within this quiet space.
Evidence of the "open courtyard" system of house design traces back, well before western models were introduced. In ancestral Hindu sociology the courtyard served as a space for the older generation to look after the young. The introduction of semi-enclosed courtyards by Catholic influences is purpose built for similar reasons. This central courtyard is likened to the lungs of the human body giving the indweller breathing space. It is not for living purposes but for social bonding, inspiration and reflection.
